Markets for their goods, traders are looking at the various parts of the Ottoman Empire and beyond. Traders hit the road on St George’s day and returned to his native country around St. Dimitar’sday. The long absence from home and danger involved in their travels create a special style in sending and welcoming them in the village by their relatives.
On 6th of September, from 12: 30 am on the square in Bozhentsi folk dance ensemble “Sivek” will perform a concert. This year, besides the 129 years since The Unification of Bulgarian, AIR “Bozhentsi” will celebrate the 50 year anniversary. After the concert from 1: 30 pm in the garden in front of The New school will open the exhibition “50 years of Architectural and historical reserve Bozhentsi.” The official celebration of the 50th anniversary will be on September 21.
On 20.6.14 officially was opened the exhibition from the 28th National children plainer “Sbadnata prikazka” in the museum house Doncho Popov. The plainer is organised for the 28th consecutive year by the team of AIR “Bozhentsi” and proceed on days 16-20.06.14, the young artists from Pleven, Ruse and Sevlievo had the opportunity to paint the living model, still life and landscapes from Bozhentsi. Plainer ended with exhibition and awarding of diplomas for participation. The drawings can be seen every day from 9: 00 to 5: 00 pm until the end of July.
On 4.06.14 prof. Jordan Jordanov officially open “The men in the past” – traveling exhibition of National Anthropological museum- Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The exposition presents in chronological order, from the Neolithic period to the Renaissance, the physical types of people, information about diseases and injuries, left traces on their bones, and medicinal and ritual effects on them. Displayed are separate images from different eras through the plastic reconstruction of head anthropological skull. You can see restorations of Bulgarian Kings, Bulgarian people from the mid-19th century. The exhibition can be seen every day from 9:00 to 5:00pm in The New school of AIR “Bozhentsi” until the end of September.
